* to explain the mod on the Modcan 4VCA: Bruce usually makes them with pull-pots that switch the VCAs between audio and
DC/CV ranges. I had mine modified to be audio only, and the pull-pots to remove the individual VCAs from the mix output. the
end result is that it can function as 4 independent VCAs, or a 4 channel mixer with CV over each channel - or any combination
in between.
I've made some big decisions in terms of overhauling the studio... in nutshell, anything that used to be on the gear
list that's no longer there will be slowly sold over the next few months. even some items that are still on the list might
go up for sale before the dust settles.
the DIY projects I mentioned are still in the works, but have been slowed down due to the increasingly busy day-job
schedule of the builder...
aside from that, I've also made the decision recently to move away from synths, mostly due to a lack of time to do anything
serious with them. instead I'm going to get a couple of guitars and guitar related gear, as well as drums, and get back into
doing that a bit more. I'll get a semi-acoustic guitar for playing "real" music and an electric guitar that I'll also continue
to do ambient experiements with. still going to keep the modular synth happening, but scaling it back to mostly processing
modules. I'll get sound sources for it out of the guitar and the Nord Modular for the time being.
in the meantime, stay tuned as I'll be doing my best to update the "for sale" list each time a new item goes "on the
block", so to speak...
